Over the past month, we’ve been discussing the power of vision. Today, I want to dive into an essential part of aligning with the vibration of your vision: loving yourself.
Are you beating yourself up for not following through on a goal, resolution, or vision you had for yourself this year?
I am certainly no stranger to this self-judgement pattern. It’s easy to be hard on ourselves when we feel like we’ve veered off course.
But how can we move past this so we don’t fall into a cycle of self-defeat?
Instead of blaming yourself when you feel bad or inadequate for not sticking to your habits, or when you catch yourself spiraling into self-blame, take a step back.
We know that whatever emotional frequency we focus on will only attract more of the same, so why continue that pattern?
Instead, pause, take a deep breath, and ask yourself: What would love do in this moment? It’s a simple question, but it shifts your entire energy and mindset.
Yes, it’s important to objectively assess what went wrong from a practical standpoint, but that’s where self-judgement should end. Emotionally dwelling on mistakes or shortcomings will never get us back on track.
After you’ve taken an honest look, at that point, it’s essential to draw a line in the sand and move forward. But we do this vibrationally, by turning our focus to self-love—not self-blame, guilt, or a harsh sense of “correction.”
When we dwell on the negative emotions associated with falling short on our promise to ourselves, we simply keep recycling old, unhelpful energy, creating more dissatisfaction and self-judgement.
But when we shift into the vibration of love, openness, forgiveness, and curiosity, we start rolling a new snowball of possibility, which has at its center a seed of self-compassion that grows every time we focus on, ”What would love do here?”
Essentially, by shifting our focus from blame to love, we access our inner storehouse of resources, making space for new ideas, fresh awareness, and expansive next steps.
So, next time you find yourself off course, consider asking a different question. Choose self-love. It’s the most powerful tool for getting back on track and attracting the progress you truly desire.
With love,
Cynthia
