Celebrating in Advance

Have you ever watched the televised New Year’s Eve, Time’s Square countdown celebration that culminates in the big sparkly ball dropping that brings in the new year? Maybe you’ve even been there live??

Celebration isn’t always big and loud. And it’s often the more quiet, and genuinely felt inner sparks of joy that feel more meaningful.

Journaling the other morning, I found myself noticing my breath – rolling in on a wave of delightful arrival—as if to say, “I’m here. I exist.”

It reminded me that celebration can be that simple. A sweet acknowledgment of the truth that I matter. That you matter. That breath itself is reason enough to pause and feel reverence.

There’s a tool I’ve been using lately that goes even deeper and is fun. It’s something I’ve been calling “celebrating in advance.”

I bring to mind something I really really would love to have most in my life, that hasn’t occurred yet, and celebrate as if it’s already happening.

That means I feel in my nervous system, in my body, the feelings of already having the thing that my imagination sees.

Celebrating in advance is a sacred and empowering act of creation. It is a way to align your inner world with what you’re calling in, long before it arrives.

We all know that everything is created twice: first in mind, then in form.

Now, the tendency is to discount the power and significance of using imagination in this conscious way.

But this practice is actually the Law of Vibration at work.

Physics says that you and I can have whatever we become a vibrational match to.

The way we know what vibration we’re transmitting at any given moment is by noticing our dominant emotion, because emotion is synonymous with frequency of vibration.

When you celebrate something before it has physically appeared, you’re saying yes, I feel it. Yes, I believe. Yes, I trust. Yes, I receive.

You’re telling the invisible fabric of life: “I’m ready, I’ll have more of this, please!”

And what’s beautiful is that you don’t have to wait until you know every detail of your vision.

Sometimes, when I ask clients, “What would you love?” I get a “deer in headlights” response because the question itself feels too far out of reach.

But almost always, they can name the feeling they want: freedom, joy, ease, delight.

So here’s a prompt for you today:

What is one thing that, if it were already true in your life, would make you feel overjoyed and deeply fulfilled?

Just one thing. Let yourself feel that. Imagine how it would feel to wake up and realize it had already happened.

Now, celebrate that.

Give thanks. Smile. Breathe it in. Let your body respond as if it’s already true. Because in many ways, it is.

The vibration of celebration creates a physiological response—shifting your brain’s chemicals, elevating your mood, and activating the magnetic field of your heart.

This is more than a mindset. It’s a practice. A re-patterning of the way we move through life.

Because anything you’re calling in—whether it’s healing, abundance, love, or clarity—starts with your energy. It begins in the unseen. And when you choose to meet it with joy, to celebrate it before it takes form, you invite it into your field with so much more ease.

The next time you feel yourself reaching, efforting, or wondering if it’s possible… pause.

Take a breath.

And ask, “What if I celebrated it now?”

There is no need to force. You don’t have to work hard to embody a life you’d love. It begins with allowing your heart to feel what it feels like to already live it.

Celebrating in advance isn’t pretending. It’s partnering with possibility.

And it will change you.
