Something interesting happens when you invest enough time, energy, and focus into your own inner growth. There’s a tipping point that often arrives just after the moment you feel like giving up.
And honestly, there are days when it does feel discouraging. It can seem like you’ll never shift your self-image enough to stop sabotaging the greater success you know is meant for you.
But if you keep going, if you stay with it, if you continue taking even the smallest steps forward, doing what you can do, investing in your growth, and believing in the possibility of becoming the version of yourself you know lives inside you, something powerful begins to happen.
When you turn your attention away from the thoughts of doubt and reconnect with the part of you that is more than fear, more than past limitations or circumstances, something inside starts to transform.
The way you see yourself begins to shift. That’s the gold.
Transforming your self-image isn’t easy. It’s deep work. But it matters.
You matter.
Your dreams matter.
Expressing your inner gifts matters.
This past weekend, I had a realization that landed deeply in my heart. I’ve been playing small. I’ve been hiding my gifts and minimizing my voice.
I’ve been wanting success in ways that truly light me up, while still trying to stay invisible at the same time. It’s not working. I would reach a certain level of success, then somehow something would happen.
I would unconsciously sabotage the next breakthrough—whether in my income, my relationship, or my health.
And consciously? I didn’t know how to stop the pattern.
Looking back, I saw how early it started. In 7th grade, I tried to shrink myself. I was taller than everyone else and students mistook me for a teacher.
I tried to hide my height, my “bigness,” my intelligence, my preferences, even my voice. I wanted to fit in with the pretty, popular girls. I became a chameleon. I told myself it was safer that way.
I believed that if I stood out, others might feel small or jealous, and then I’d be left out or rejected.
Can you relate?
Maybe you’ve had similar fears—of not belonging, not being loved, or not being included—that make it feel scary to fully shine. Or maybe you’ve got different old beliefs that are still running in the background, quietly holding you back.
“There is a basket of fresh bread on your head,
and yet you go door to door asking for crusts”
. – Rumi
But that was then. This is now.
Now I know that being fully seen in our gifts is not only safe, it’s powerful. Your presence has impact. Your light helps lift others.
When you let yourself be witnessed in your authentic expression, you give others permission to do the same.
So don’t hold back. Don’t hide. Your unique frequency of love matters.
Let’s raise the vibration on this planet, by holding loving thoughts about ourselves, by feeling grateful for our unique gifts. Let’s live as who we truly are. Own your gifts. Shine your light.
I’ll be here shining with you.
