Love Your Legacy Coaching

Why Hasn’t It Happened Yet?

For most of my life, I’ve been fascinated by personal growth.

I was a teenager when I attended my first seminar about how we grow and change, why we do what we do, and what becomes possible when we start paying attention to our inner lives.

Over the years, I became something of a sponge for it all, reading the books, going to seminars and short-term programs, learning from different teachers and mentors, and having experiences that genuinely expanded the way I understood myself and what was possible for my life.

And I want to be clear: many of those experiences were wonderful, and I’m not dismissing any of them. There are different kinds of mentors for different reasons, and I can trace so much of who I am today to what I learned from people who opened doors in my thinking before I knew how to open them for myself.

But eventually I began to recognize a distinction that changed everything for me:

Personal growth and knowing how to create a result are not necessarily the same thing.

I could have a profound insight, understand myself in a new way, or leave a seminar feeling as though something important had shifted, and all of that was real.

Yet anywhere from 3 days to two weeks later, I would return to my normal circumstances and discover that there was still a considerable distance between what I’d understood and what I was actually able to demonstrate in my life.

That stayed frustrating and confusing for a long time, because like so many capable people, I assumed that if I kept learning, kept growing, kept applying myself and stayed sincere about the things I wanted, the results would eventually follow.

Sometimes they did. Sometimes they didn’t. And what I realized is that the missing piece wasn’t necessarily more information, more desire, or more effort.

What I’d never really been taught was a repeatable, reliable way of understanding how transformation happens and how results actually occur.

There is a difference between being inspired by an idea and knowing how to work with that idea in your day to day situations, especially during the inevitable stretches of time when you can’t yet see evidence that anything is changing.

This is when a support structure became so important for me. Creating real-world results became much more possible and even predictable when I was no longer trying to assemble all the pieces on my own.

When I’d found a mentor, a community, a proven curriculum and sustained structure of support, that’s what gave me the time and consistent guidance to leverage these principles in the context of my daily life.

The combination is very, very powerful.

A three-day seminar can inspire and change the way you see something, a book can introduce an idea that stays with you for decades, and a wonderful mentor can illuminate a possibility you couldn’t see before.

But eventually, we go back to our normal circumstances, and without an ongoing process to return to, even very intelligent and self-aware people can find themselves throwing spaghetti at the wall: trying one thing, then another, wondering whether to change direction, work harder, wait longer or start over altogether.

But what if what’s missing is much more practical than that?

What if you simply haven’t been given a repeatable system for creating a result, the skills to work with that system, and the structure in which to apply it as your life continues to unfold?

To me, this is very good news, because it means creating what you want is not some mysterious ability that a fortunate few possess. There is an elegant way to do this.

And when you’re learning inside the right structure, you no longer have to put all of the pieces together by yourself. You have:

  • A curriculum that gives the work a path, so you understand what you are practicing and why.
  • A community where you learn not only from your own experience, but by watching the same principles come alive in other people’s lives.
  • Individual coaching that brings the work directly into your own vision, into your unique circumstances and questions.
  • Consistency and repetition which give you enough runway to apply the principles in real life, rather than simply understand them intellectually.

For many years, I was very much the Lone Ranger, absorbing information, thinking deeply about it and trying to put all the pieces together myself.

What changed was discovering the power of remaining inside a “container” of support  long enough for the principles to become mine.

The opportunity is to develop a capacity far more valuable and fulfilling than simply becoming proficient at achieving a particular goal.

You learn how to master your creative capacities.

In multiple areas of my own life, I’m able to look back and see a pattern of how results unfolded: becoming a professional dancer, meeting my husband and continuing to create a deeper relationship within my marriage, and purchasing the dream home that I now wake up in, often still pinching myself.

The forms of the dreams achieved are different. But the understanding of how to create a result you’re in love with is what’s transferable.

Living a life you love doesn’t require one mysterious formula for a career, another for a relationship and another for a home. When you understand how a result is created, that changes the question from, Can I achieve this one thing? to something much more expansive:

Can I become someone who knows how to build and enjoy what matters to me?

Considering your unique circumstances and dreams, how would you feel when you discover that it doesn’t require beginning from zero all over again every time you want to achieve something new? Imagine you have the tools, support and strategy to rinse and repeat.

And it is exactly why I’m opening an opportunity for 10 people who want to invest the next 12 months learning and applying this, together.

The length and structure are intentional. I’m not interested in creating another wonderful experience that gives you a burst of insight and then sends you back into your normal circumstances to figure out the rest alone.

I want there to be enough runway for you to apply these principles to something you genuinely want, bring what is happening in your actual life into the work, receive support and coaching, and keep returning to the process as the result unfolds.

This is not personal growth for the sake of personal growth.

I’m interested in what you want to create and helping you to build it.

Maybe there is something you’ve wanted for years, or perhaps the desire is newer and you’re only beginning to admit how much it matters to you.

Maybe you’ve already done many of the “right” things and are genuinely puzzled by the distance between how much you’ve learned and the result you still want.

If so, maybe the absence of the result doesn’t mean the dream is unrealistic or that you simply need to accumulate more information.

Maybe what’s been missing is a repeatable system, a skillset and a structure in which you receive the learning, accountability and support from a mentor who’s demonstrated success, can teach you the tools, and cares about you.

If that’s something you’d love…

What is the result you really want?

What would you love to look back on 12 months from now and know that you consciously created?

If an answer is already beginning to surface, I want to hear it.

Email me and tell me what you want to create, or simply let me know you want to know more about this 12 month opportunity.

From there, we’ll set up a time to talk about what you’re looking for, what this year together will involve, and if the community would be the best next step for you.
